Career
After graduating and doing my compulsory military service, which still existed at the time, I started work as an office clerk at BBL (now ING). After a few months, it turned out that this wasn't my thing and I turned to the tourism and aviation industry. I worked for SAS, Lineas Aereas Paraguayas, a number of niche tourism players and ended up at Connections in 1996, as Sales Director. In 2013, I decided to go into a business that I was passionate about, authentic communication. Since then, I've been CEO of Social Seeder and, in the meantime, co-founder of Imby.energy (renewable energy).
Role
As CEO of Social Seeder, I also give workshops on employer branding and how to create a community of ambassadors in Belgium and abroad. As a partner of the Talent Acquisition Academy, I'm very happy to share this knowledge.
I like
Travelling, soaking up new things, new places and nature by walking or cycling. If I'm offered a sporting challenge, even an unusual one, I want to take it on, even if it's a bit more reasonable than in my reckless youth. Music, which inspires me, draws me into a story or takes me back to a place or a person.
I don't like
Anything fake, including most advertising. Companies that shout that they're the best, when in fact, internally, it's all about the money. I don't like big parties or awards where everyone tries to pretend to be someone else. Grey days in winter. I don't like watching sport on television either.
